FLAN was presented during IFDA 2021, drawing much attention for its concept of creating a cozy, enveloping private space that you can get lost in no matter where you are. In this era where privacy is highly valued, FLAN makes it possible to maintain an appropriate sense of distance between people, even in high density spaces such as airports, offices, and cafes. In addition to the wide and roomy seat’s ability to comfortably accommodate a variety of sitting styles, the chair is unique in that the impressive size and shape of the back obstructs the view from most angles, appealing to those who want a relaxing moment to themselves while waiting in public. The configuration also protects device screens or other private material from being visible to the outside.
