Michael C. Poulsen gave this stool the name BCTD, pronounced “be seated.” The solid wood seat is inspired by the shape of a horse’s saddle and padded by a simple cushion. BCTD’s construction brings out the strength and richness of Japanese Ash, with four legs extending elegantly and portraying the beauty of the wood grain. A steel ring is installed at the bottom to provide support for your feet when sitting.
Danish design and Japanese woodcraft techniques combine to create this unique piece. BCTD is perfect for a modern workspace as a supplement for a standing desk setup, or for use as a stool at a cafe or restaurant. It can just as well serve as a home kitchen piece for casual dining at the counter.
